There is an enormous amount of strength that women gather from being around other women. It is a blessing to have the love, support and council of women on the same faith journey. Our ministry offers fellowship groups, Bible studies, retreats and more. The Bible studies are offered throughout the year with our main sessions offered in the spring and fall.

7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess by Jen Hatmaker

Do you feel trapped in the machine of excess? Jen Hatmaker was. Her friends were. And some might say that our culture is. Jen once considered herself unmotivated by the lure of prosperity, but upon being called 'rich' by a child who was living in poverty, evidence to the contrary mounted, and a social experiment turned spiritual journey was born. This study will lead you through this same experiment, at whatever level you choose, in seven key areas: food, clothes, spending, media, possessions, waste, and stress.  What's the payoff for living such a deeply reduced life? It's the discovery of a greatly increased God a call toward Christ-like simplicity and generosity that transcends a social experiment to become a radically better existence.

This study focuses on one book of the Bible each week and is great for new and mature believers. Each lesson includes video teaching, a personal testimony and special music with limited homework. This study will begin with Genesis and finish with 2 Kings.
