The Due West UMC Center for the Arts program helps to develop creative worship among Christ's followers in three areas:

  • Private Lessons: Individual music lessons are available in Piano, Voice, Saxophone, Drums, Clarinet, Flute, Guitar, Violin, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass & Electric Bass, Tuba & Baritone.

Skilled teacher(s) give(s) private instruction through Due West Center for the Arts in their instrument(s) of expertise. (Teachers and a "floater" are needed during individual lesson times, 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., weekdays.)

  • Here We Come a-Care-oling: Christmas outreach to the elderly and homebound, involving the singing of carols, fruit/cheese baskets, and a time of encouragement. Opportunities are available to coordinate the following: develop a list of homebound, call the homebound, make travel arrangements/maps, develop care-oling groups, and arrange the fruit baskets.
