The Due West UMC Center for the Arts (CFA) is an outreach ministry whose vision is to
encourage and nurture God-given creativity in the arts, and the expression of those gifts
in life-long worship. We currently offer instruction for both children and adults in
traditional musical disciplines of piano, voice, violin, viola, saxophone, drums, clarinet, flute, guitar, trumpet, trombone, french horn & electric bass.

Teachers include:  Ivy (Belk) Pirl, Mandy Kirkpatrick, Jonnee Donyes, Derek McCloud, Yellena Dodds, Tiffany Watson, Michael Boggioni & Scott Sappington.

All instruction occurs on Due West UMC, according to schedules mutually agreeable by instructors and students and in accordance with the church’s Safe Sanctuaries Policy.

Although we go by semesters, enrollment can begin at any time during the year. We welcome students from the community as well as Due West church family.

Attention Rising 6th Graders...

Are you interested in Band or Orchestra for the Fall, but you’re not sure what instrument you would like to play? Due West Center for the Arts will be offering one hour of private instruction for $20 in which you will be able to try out different instruments. Once your choice is made, you will get a short lesson on that instrument.

If you are a Rising 6th grader who already knows what instrument you will be playing, the Center for the Arts will also be offering a one hour lesson for $20.00 to get you ready for Fall. Registration for Rising 6th grader Band and Orchestra tryouts will be held from June 1st through June 31st.
