College MinistryQuest College Age Ministry
The Due West UMC College Age Ministry is dedicated to providing college age people (roughly ages 18 to 22) a place to gather together with peers, grow as disciples of Christ, and go out into their communities and serve others. Local students and non-students in this age group have many on-campus opportunities to gather and learn together as a group. Students away for school can stay connected through weekly updates and announcements so they can stay in touch with what is going on at home. They learn right along with the local group using summaries and bible studies from each class.
Join us on the last Sunday of the month at 9:39 in the Quest College Age Ministries room (South Campus #208 right off the sanctuary) to discuss Bible-based issues and how they relate to this stage of our lives. You can also join us for Bible Study on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. at the Daily Grind Coffee Shop across from the S. Campus of our church. We do in-depth book or thematic studies such as community in the early Church as found in the book Acts or dealing with differences in world view. In addition to on-campus programs, we have several mission opportunities through the year and chances just to hang out to get to know one another. This is an exciting time to join us in college age ministry! Check out our Facebook page at “Due West UMC College Age Ministry” for more information and upcoming events. Email Kimmie Tinney for more information. 2013 College ScholarshipsThe Due West United Methodist Men will be offering the Phil McGuire Memorial College Scholarships again this year. Candidates are college-bound individuals who have been a member of the church for at least one year.
