Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is first and foremost designed to be a worshipping community who leads primarily in our traditional services along with excellent seasonal presentations. Weekly rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. and you are welcome to join at any time. Come be a part of leading worship each Sunday, meet new friends, experience warm fellowship, sing/play great music and join many special events held during the year by this exciting ministry.  Nursery is provided for all rehearsals.

The Choir and Orchestra will be taking a summer break during July. We will be using a smaller group to lead in worship during the month. Enjoy your time off - and be sure to come back for Festival of Music!

DUE WEST 12th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF MUSIC

Our 12th annual concert will be Sunday, September 12 at 6:00 pm at Mable House Amphitheatre. The Sanctuary Choir, Orchestra, Children & Youth Choirs and other ensembles from Due West will be providing a variety of music that night. We would love for you to join us for this event. Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, August 4, from 7:00-8:30 pm. Due to the special nature of this concert, we will also have rehearsals on Sunday afternoons starting on August 8, from 5:00-6:30 pm. Childcare is provided for all rehearsals.

If you’re looking for a way to plug-in here at DWUMC we have the place for you! More than just a group of people who like to sing, each member of the Due West UMC Adult Choir is connected by their love of the Lord, their love of music and their love of fellowship. During the month of July the DWUMC Adult “Choir Connections” team will be seeking new membership. Join us on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 7:00 pm. DUE WEST FAMILY FUN NIGHT WITH THE ATLANTA BRAVES FRIDAY, AUGUST 13th

The Due West Sanctuary Choir has been invited to sing the National Anthem for the Atlanta Braves game on Friday, August 13th. We are going to purchase a block of tickets in the upper box so that our Due West family can sit together. Tickets are $15/person.  If you would like to sing with us or simply be included in the block, please bring a check (made payable to Due West) with “Braves Tickets” in the memo section to Jonneé Donyes no later than July 25th. You may Email Jonneé if you are interested in joining us or if you have any questions.
