SafePath Children's Advocacy Center is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. SafePath provides services primarily to Cobb County including the cities of Marietta, Powder Springs, Austell, Kennesaw, Smyrna, and Acworth. Courtesy services are also provided worldwide via requests from law enforcement, child protective services, mental health and medical professionals, and prosecutors.
SafePath's purpose is to stress the coordination of intervention, investigation, and treatment services by bringing together professionals and agencies as a multi-disciplinary team to create a child-friendly approach to alleged child sexual and severe physical abuse cases. The goal is to ensure that children are not further victimized by the very system designed to protect them. SafePath also supports a collaborative approach to community education and awareness in the prevention of child abuse through the Coalition of Child Abuse Prevention (CCAP the prevention arm of SafePath).
