Center for the Arts

The Center for the Arts is a ministry of Due West Methodist Church offering high-quality experiences in both the performing and fine arts for children, adults, and seniors. Our classes and programs are designed to build skills, spark creativity, and encourage character in a warm, welcoming environment. Our programs are open to anyone in our community!

Our instructors are passionate about what they do and bring both expertise and heart to their teaching. They work hard to create a positive, supportive space where every student feels valued and inspired to learn, grow, and express themselves as artists.

If you have any questions or would like more info, please contact Nicole Gray, Director of the Center for the Arts, at cfa@duewest.org.

Storybook Playhouse

Storybook Playhouse is a theatre group just for young artists in 2nd–5th grade! We focus on building performance skills while helping students grow in confidence, self-discipline, integrity, and teamwork. Our goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where kids feel comfortable taking risks, trying new things, and discovering their unique talents.

Each semester we offer fun classes, engaging workshops, and a fully produced musical. We also offer multiple summer camps designed especially for this age group.

Centerstage Ensemble

Centerstage Ensemble is our theatre group for young artists in 6th–12th grade. Students have performance opportunities at the end of each semester and throughout the summer through shows, camps, workshops, and masterclasses, including a one-week summer camp musical each year.

We focus on refining performance skills while also helping students grow in public speaking, communication, self-awareness, confidence, resilience, creative problem-solving, and time management. Just like with our younger artists, we work hard to create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable taking risks and discovering their unique talents.

Cue West Players

Our family-friendly community theatre troupe offers performance opportunities all year long! Whether you want to be onstage or behind the scenes, are a seasoned performer or brand new to theatre, there’s a place for you here. We love welcoming new faces and building a collaborative team to create high-quality musicals and shows together.

All roles are cast by audition, and we’re always looking for help offstage too—costumes, hair and makeup, props, set construction, stage management, lights, sound, ushering, sponsoring, and more.

If you have questions or want to get involved, please send an email to Nicole Gray, Director of the Center for the Arts, at cfa@duewest.org
