“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” - Matthew 25:23
Mathew 25 showcases the Parable of the Bags of Gold, where Jesus discusses a man entrusting his wealth to his servants: one with 5 bags of gold, one with 2 bags, and another with 1 bag. The ones with 5 bags and 2 bags went to work and doubled their bags. The one with 1 bag put his money in the ground and hid it. Matthew 25:23 highlights the man’s reaction to hearing the prosperity of his first two servants.
However, to the one who was not a good steward of the money, the man called him wicked and lazy and took the bag from him. He said that “For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them” (Mathew 25:29).
Do you want to live the life God designed for you? Do you want to have the impact He created you to have? Do you want to possess all that He intended for you to possess? Do you want to reach your full potential for God?
If you do, it starts right where you are with being a good steward of the time, talents, and treasures in which God has entrusted you.
If you want God to bless you with more, it starts with being a good steward NOW. Take great care of what you have, steward what you have been given, and then God can bless you with more. Delman Coates
