READING:

What Does it Say?  When Jesus got back to the Sea of Galilee He climbed a hill and sat down and the crowd laid the sick before Him.  Jesus healed the sick and the crowd was amazed.

What Does it Mean?  The crowd was praising God because they saw Him heal the lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn't speak, and many others.  These people were held captive by their physical infirmities and Jesus gave them freedom.  It is easy to praise God when we see him do great things, but it is harder to praise Him when things do not go the way we want them to.  God is good all the time and He is merciful and does not enjoy seeing us suffer.  There is always something good that can come out of negative situations.  When you are disappointed with God, stop and think of five things you are thankful for; better yet, start a thankful journal and be thankful every day.  Look for what you can learn from the situation and think about what you could do different next time.  God never wastes our pain.
