READING:

Being humble is the opposite of arrogant. When we encounter someone who is going through a time of failure, we should show understanding, kindness, and offer a helping hand. Our lives are not defined by our failures, each and every one of us have and will fail. We must accept our failures and use them to grow.

To be humble and confident requires us to know and accept we don’t know everything, to show strength of character instead of boasting and needing to be right.

Do the right thing and be generous because it is the right thing to do – and look for nothing in return. Get good at giving. Get good at grace.

To practice humility:

  • Learn to say you’re sorry.

  • Stop being defensive.

  • Seek understanding.

  • Be the best you that you can be.
